Bondi Junction

About Bondi Junction

Bondi junction is the transport hub of the Eastern suburbs with a large bus station and a 10minute train connection to the city stations of Martin place and Town Hall and Central. Following the opening of a new Westfield shopping centre in 2004, Bondi junction is now a shoppers dream with literally hundreds of shops to indulge in some retail therapy. It also includes a cinema and near here is a food court which has a number of restuarants which have a communal seating area which has a balcony where you can see the Harbour bridge and harbour in all its glory. For people who like to be in the open air then there is a pedestrian mall filled with even more shops and places to take a coffee and lunch and watch the world go by. For visitors it's a short bus trip (10-15mins) on the 380 down Bondi Road (more shops) to the sea. The junction also has the modern Waverley library (http://www.waverley.nsw.gov.au/library/) and free internet access if you know where to find it.
